Scheme is for developer specialising in commune-style living

PLP has been given the OK for a new 19-storey building in Stratford by the London Legacy Development Corporation.

The second co-living scheme for fledgling property developer The Collective will have 250 rooms and a sauna, library, cinema room, outdoor hot tub, external gallery space and ground-floor terrace and food market overlooking the Channelsea River.

The Collective specialises in commune-style living where tenants pay for space which includes a bedroom, bathroom and basic kitchenette and share other facilities such as kitchens, gyms, office space and roof terraces.

PLP also designed the firm’s first co-living building, which was launched last year in Old Oak in west London. The Collective has also acquired a third site in Canary Wharf.
