Scheme will include resi, retail and hotel

Edinburgh city council has given the OK to a masterplan by Glasgow practice Wilson Gunn Architects to overhaul the city’s marina.

The scheme for Granton Central Developments will have 300 berths and will include residential, retail and a 123-bed spa hotel development that will be the focal point of Granton Harbour’s regeneration.

It is expected to be home to more than 4,000 people and the plans include a community boatyard and improved facilities for the Royal Forth and Forth Corinthian yacht clubs.

The revised scheme also makes provision for the proposed new transport facilities in the area, including the extension of the tram service.
