Garden Museum seeks architect for extension
Ojeu notice posted for expressions of interest
The Garden Museum in south London is seeking an architect to take forward plans to extend the museum.
In an Ojeu notice the museum said it plans to restore the church and churchyard, expand exhibition space within the current building and deliver a new building on the museum grounds.
The work forms the second phase of its renovation. In 2008 a new gallery, designed by Dow Jones Architects, marked the museum’s rebranding from The Museum of Garden History to the Garden Museum.
The value of the work is estimated between £380,000 and £420,000 and expressions of interested are due in by January 20, 2013.
Up to five practices will be shortlisted for the job.
