Scheme led by practice’s Lisbon-based team
Broadway Malyan has completed the redesign of Lisbon International Airport in Portugal.
The project, led by the practice’s Lisbon-based team, features an extension to the existing terminal building as well as 22,000sq m of revamped retail spaces and public concourses.
The project also remodelled the terminal foodcourt, the central waiting lounge and shop units.
Stuart Rough, chairman of Broadway Malyan, said: “Airports are more than gateways which passengers pass through and they should project the excitement of travel, while offering comfort and a wide-range of high-quality retail experiences and waiting facilities.
“Our design meets these aspirations, delivers retail and interior spaces which will transform travellers’ experiences, creating a gateway to Portugal’s capital city.”
