Paul Gott said: “My Pinarello FP6 - a full carbon road bike - was given to me by my wife on the morning of our wedding. Well, she only gave me the frame, as she feared I’d go for a ride and be late for the big event. As it turns out, she actually kept me waiting at the altar for a full 45 minutes.
“I’ve also got a Kenesis Racelight T Winter Training Bike, a Pace RC300 Hard Tail Mountain Bike and a Giant Anthem X1 Full suspension Mountain Bike – you can never have too many!
“I take part in endurance cycle events, road sportive events of 100miles plus in this country and aboard (Etape du Tour, Le Marmotte, Fred Whitton, Etape Du Dales, White Rose Classic amongst others), and 6 to 12 hour day and night mountain bike races (Wiggle Enduro 6, Dusk till Dawn amongst others).
“I’ve also ridden stages of the Tour de France but have no immediate plans to compete, preferring instead to watch from the roadside.
“Motorists waiting five seconds behind a cyclist to allow space to safely pass or to give us time to clear a junction, makes a big difference to us cyclists. You’ll always get a cheery wave from me in thanks.”
