AFL Architects has unveiled plans for a new home for Crystal Palace FC which involves the Championship side moving back to its original home in Crystal Palace Park.

The club is hoping to move from current home, Selhurst Park, to a 25,000 capacity ground, which can be increased to 40,000, on the site of the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre – where the athletics stadium is.

The club’s plans include an indoor aquatics and sports complex but do not include a running track.

Tottenham Hotspur’s plans to take over the 2012 Olympic Stadium site include rebuilding the current athletics stadium at Crystal Palace. A decision on whether Tottenham or West Ham will take over the stadium, due this week, will now be made by the end of March.
